The Johannes Gerber Studio mouthpiece is designed for the musician who's looking for an extremely versatile mouthpiece which will make them stand out in every situation, whether live, or in the recording studio. The baffle is medium high with a bullet-shape cut-out which smoothly blends the baffle into the bore. This saxophone mouthpiece has a smooth and warm sound, with lush sub-tones and a full-bodied high register. It's balanced very evenly throughout the range of the horn. The hand finished facing and thin rails make response fast and articulation easy. This model enables the saxophonist to be very expressive in many styles of music.

The Johannes Gerber Jazz mouthpiece is made from a solid round bar of bronze. This design has a good height roll-over baffle with concave side-walls. The JG Jazz gives a traditional saxophone tone and has very good power and projection. The facing and rails are constructed in a way which makes this piece feel very lively for its chamber size. Response is fast and this mouthpiece is very expressive - many different tone colors can be produced by altering your air-speed and throat opening. This mouthpiece is most suitable for musicians looking for a darker sounding mouthpiece, which will bring out the character of their own unique sound.

The Johannes Gerber Custom mouthpiece is the brightest model of the 3 models currently being made. It has a medium chamber with a "step-baffle". The side-walls are slightly concave at the second step, which smoothly blends the chamber into the throat. The low register "speaks" remarkably well and almost feels like you're not playing a high baffle mouthpiece. Once again, this mouthpiece has a very flexible bright tone, which is loud when pushed and full sounding in all registers. The high register's tone and body can easily be manipulated by changing your air speed and throat cavity size. This is the ideal mouthpiece for musicians needing to "cut" through in loud environments. The JG Custom mouthpiece has a sound which is ideal for rock and roll, pop and r+b music.
