This
Florida era Otto Link came to me in quite a 'rough' condition.
It had been refaced before and the facing was not the same on
both rails. The table leaked quite a bit. It had some nickel plating
left.

I
first replaced the biteplate with a material which I specially
shaped to match the rounded beak profile, before filing it to
fit the pocket exactly.

This
mouthpiece was scratched deeply and had many pit marks from corrosion.
I next removed all of the plating and removed 'most' of the pit
marks.

The
mouthpiece was then refaced after I reconstructed the table profile.
I preserved the original tip opening and facing length as requested,
but improved the overall curve. I left the chamber with an attractive
matt finish after removing the worst scratches and marks.

Almost
ready for 24K gold plating...

After
hours of the highest concentration, the spectacular final result!
