Wire transfer to South Africa is quite costly in certain areas and takes 1 to 14 days to appear in my bank.

Moneygram is a cash deposit system which is very reasonably priced and instant.

Example: To send up to $500 from the US will cost you $10. To send more than $500 and up to $1000 will cost you $15 from the US.

You will need to locate a moneygram agent near you and make a cash deposit, which will be available for collection here minutes later.

My nearest moneygram agent is 60km from me in the Port Elizabeth City. When collecting the funds there, I mail the mouthpiece at the same time.
